Good afternoon! I don't really know much about the penny, is there anything you can tell me about this one? I found this penny while searching a box of pennies, and picked it up becuase it looked almost brand new, thought it was a penny from the high 2000's; I saw the date, and it was not. It was a 1960 penny, in that great of shape. Of course I held onto it becuase it looked so good for its age, who knows maybe its worth something. Is it?
It's a nicer old memorial to find in circulation. You find them occasionally and it would be a nice folder coin. But, with the little bit of circulation and the hits it has taken, it really has no premium.
Nice 1960. when I come across one like that I save it. I have a small cup full of red 1960's cents. No real value to them, but they are nice looking and old. Wait until you find a red Wheat cent. I found a 1945-d the other day that was full red. It's the oldest red cent I've gotten from rolls.
That one is a Large Date 1960. Too bad it's not a small date, would of had yourself a nice $5-6 coin there!
