    I've seen the lion on that 50 franc Congo note on a stock certificate. From Canada, I think. I'll try to figure out which one and post some details.

    Ha! I just stumbled on this thread after, um, three years. Here's the lion I promised -- on a stock certificate for Dominion Stores, printed by British American Bank Note Co.
