The "o" caught my eye..as did the "R" I'm a newbie and I am going to have to learn the difference in a DD/MD but I need your help till I do. Very confusing so far hehe I'll be dawg.....don't even ask why the 69s photo is there cause I don't have a clue...Nor a clue as to how to delete them!
Here's the difference between a doubled die coin and a coin with machine doubling. Notice in the first pic that the secondary date is flat and shelf-like. It has been sheared due to die chatter ( a die coming loose). In the following pics the secondary date is the same height as the primary. This is a doubled die. The die was struck twice (not the coin) This is a diagram from one of the other members that shows the same thing:
