Over the next month or so I will be making a glossary for coin collectors. If possible perhaps the mods can make it a sticky. The nice thing about this, is that it will be member made. For instance I make a lengthy list, then all you members can reply with your own words, and even your made up terms (I'm sure we all have these). Here are a few I made up. Cardboard Bricks: Cardboard Boxes used to hold 2x2 holders. Plastic Bricks: Plastic boxes for Slabbed coins. Crackers: Tools used to break slabs open. Your turn.
Slider-an AU coin that can pass for uncirculated; a borderline circulated/uncirculated coin Bid-wholsale buying price ask--wholesale selling price Bourse--trading floor blazer--a white uncirculated coin.
There is already a very old thread on a similar topic, this will definitely make this list longer: http://www.cointalk.com/t1559
Yes - rather than reinvent the wheel again, a list already exists that you could add new things to. It's under Frequently Asked Questions - more folks need to look in there.
