What's the grade on this Jefferson nickel?

The print is honestly the first thing I noticed when I looked at the reverse. Have you had luck removing prints with acetone? I have tried to remove new prints on current issues a few times and they stuck.

I think the print on the reverse will hold it back 67fs, but it may depend who who you send it to

 

I think it has prooflike qualities, I think it is an early die state strike. Those areas on the cheek and jaw were probably in the planchet. There is just a small hit on the top step and interruptions on the bottom step that keep it out of 6 steps but I think they would give this a MS67FS .... There are just too many little things, and I mean little to give it MS68, but it easily makes MS67 I think.
I think I see a finger print above Monticello dome.
I also wonder, did anyone else notice this look like PLURLBUS with an L instead of an I?
This is a super example of a 1957 business strike. Nice as you'll ever find.

I haven't done anything with this nickel but put it back in an album.

The latest comments (those who believe it is a business strike) are really making me want to do something with it.
I just don't know why I won't pull the trigger and send it in. I suppose it's getting over that "first time" submission for me.

Don't get me wrong, I originally thought it was a business strike. There aren't any 67fs, and a 66fs would make it a $2k+ coin. I am not that lucky. So maybe by not sending it in, I can keep hope alive.

Ok. Since I have recently decided to sell the majority of my collection, the time has come to drink the koolaid and send in some coins for certification.
My very first submission will include this nickel and 4 other slab worthy(I believe) coins.
Whatever the outcome is, I will certainly update this thread. Since I have never done it before, I don't know how long it takes. So keep your fingers crossed!

At the very least this will test my grading skills, or lack thereof.

Don't be sorry Brandon! It's all good. I am taking my collecting to the next level.
I have learned so much since I first started. It's time to put that knowledge to use.
Among other things, I will now go for quality over quantity. So I have begun the process of selling 90% or so of my coins.
I have some sets/series that I really want to finish. All of which have a pricey coin or two, or three in the series.

The toughest part about all of it is getting over my hoarding tendencies.

Anyway, for my first NGC submission, I will be posting some candidates to go along for the ride with the Jeffy from this thread. I look forward to getting some feedback on which ones look like the best choices.
