Bought this one raw off of one of the local bid boards awhile back... I thought it would grade at least MS65 and I just thought the color was really nice. Eventually decided to send it in for grading, even though I wasn't sure the value of the coin justified the costs of grading. But I figured while it was there, I'd get a TrueView photo as well... got it this week and it came back MS67 w/ an awesome job on the photo!!!
Thanks. :3 I'm not sure, I haven't taken it to a jeweler. But real or not, it's pretty and neat and remains one of my favorite pieces.
I picked this 1938-S up for $2.16. but why grade a Au coin. was the 1st owner looking for a error? here the Photos, and what do you think???.:kewl:
Just won this tonight. I don't have it in-hand yet, so these aren't my pics. The nicer single pic of both sides was with the ebay listing. The Second two are from NGC cert lookup. NGC photos look kinda bad. When it arrives, I'll take some of my own pics. By the way, this is my very first graded/slabbed mercury dime, as well as my first mint-state mercury dime. Last two ebay purchases were dimes, so this might be the start of something new....
Just keep buying those NGC pieces and leave all the OGH PCGS mercs to me please... Newest addition to the pack... 66FB CAC'ed.
CAC just cost more 99% of the time. Save money Don't buy a sticker" CAC "just make a coin price go up. here a 1944-S MS-66FB+Pcgs But NO " CAC" sold Sunday 4/29/2012 for $49.00+BP:thumb: http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=131218&lotNo=22294&ic=ViewItemArchives-LiveMatchesPromo#
Did I ask for your opinion on CAC? Or on my coin for that matter? No, I didn't. I was merely sharing a new addition. Once you factor in HA.com's shipping, they sold for nearly the same price. Actually, IIRC, HA charges $6 for the first coin to ship, so that makes them dead on, as I paid $55 for this coin. I'm not even getting into the fact that my collection only consists of PCGS OGH Merc dimes, which that is not, or the fact that I think my coin is of superior quality to that coin as that coin you linked has some not-so-nice hits on Liberty's face and doesn't seem to have the luster that mine has, which is absolutely booming in-hand. TLDR; Jello, shut up.
Freedom of speech I can say what I want to as long as I follow COINTALK rules. I will not be told to shut up about my opinion of CAC.
That's great, but go spew it somewhere else. You insinuated that I was an idiot for paying more for a CAC'ed coin when I paid the same exact price as your given example. I think you owe me an apology.
while we're on this subject, can anyone tell me if this is a 42/41? Also look at reverse "unum" has broken second "u". Found this in a shotgun roll of indian head cents.
it was stolen out of my truck. backpack with mail and checkbook were recovered and in police evidence locker for 6 months. didnt get my laptop back though.
