I bought this coin at the Whitman coin expo in baltimore, and payed 20 dollars for it. I realized after I bought it that it had a strange inprint on it. Any ideas on what it is?

I've seen that on paper money, but never on coins. Try a dip in 100% acetone to remove it.

Well it is raw and probably been exposed to contact with something. Rinse and put into a safe flip.

It looks to me like it may have been in a cellophane wrapper and the ink print of the wrapper merged with the coin.

i agree with mojavedave looks like it was in celophane. do a quick acitone dip and it should go away. only dip for a few seconds. and i would also recomend doing a distilled water rinse after you dip it

Ok thanks for the help. I'm going to sell the coin today because it isn't anything rare.
