id say my favorites at the moment are capped bust and seated liberty though i have more seateds than i do capped busts a close third would be wheat cents cody
I like simple designs that are uncluttered, graceful, and poignant. The Gobrecht Dollars, the no stars dime/HD, the Indian Eagle and the draped bust coinage. The only one of these I own at this point is the following:
Barbers dimes, quaters, and halve are superior to all The quarters are maybe my favorite, followed by the dime, then half.
Roosevelt Dimes. Highly collectable with different mints, proofs, silver proofs and varieties and can be expanded into Mercury and Barber Dimes. I'm also attracted to the state and national parks quarters. But if I collect them I would most likely only collect silver proofs and to get the quality probably the sets. Then I'll hate myself because I won't be able to resist taking them out of the box to put them into trays. Maybe I'll stick with dimes
Morgans, Mercs, Roosies in no particular order. I've also recently fallen in love with the older silver commems as well.
I like the odd types. Perhaps because I am a bit of an oddity myself. Half cents, half dimes, two cent and three cent (especially silver proofs).
I guess for now it's my JEFFERSON NICKELS I just completed the set all uncirculated . working on my ROOSEVELT DIMES. also uncirculated.I still have about 250lb's of Wheaties to go though that will take time.
Bust halves , It would have been SLQs but in my opinion they wrecked the design with the Type 2 , plus the Type 2 didn't strike up well at all .
Hello I'm a Frenchman collecting French coin types. My favourite one is Hercules (see type set list). I don't know much about American coins but I do like Lincoln cents, and also Eagle and Liberty commemorative coins.
