ILMER — Want something to do that doesn’t cost you anything, but could earn you everything?! The National Coin Collectors Association will be hosting a free event in Gilmer at the Gilmer Civic Center. Prepare now by gathering all your coins, paper currency, gold and silver and bring it all down to the Gilmer Civic Center between Monday, May 21st and Friday, May 25th! We travel the country looking for gold, silver, and collectible items and can’t wait to see what Gilmer residents have hidden away.

Not only is this an interesting event, but it’s free to attend! There is no limit to the number of pieces that can be brought in. Nearly all coins, paper currency, vintage jewelry and toys made prior to 1970 are highly sought after. Keep an open mind when going through your attic and closets because something of little value to you could turn out to be of the highest quality. Whether you have an old pocket watch, coins, or a class ring, NCCA has specialists that will assess it and test it for free. Your “junk” could turn into your fortune!

You know, it is just a local article on someone having a coin show in Texas. I lived in San Antonio for a a few years and they can afford some self promotion.
