Hope everybody's New Year going good. I went on variety Vista and wexlers to see if I can find the doubling in Liberty. Each side had different listings on the doubling. Does that mean that all of those listing are the errors on the coin? Also in God we gracias
I see Die Deterioration doubling on LIBERTY Worthless doubling. The listings are varieties not errors. That's why the website is called Variety Vista Doubled Die falls under the Variety category.
Same here I don't see a Doubled Die. Yes, Wexler has seen and attributed variety's that Coneca hasn't seen. Coppercoins, has variety's and RPM's that Wexler hasn't seen and vice versa.
Just worn die doubling and it happens so much it’s only worth face value. Just to bring a small premium would require extreme wear from a worn die.
Sorry but that's confusing. It's not doubling of any kind. That's why it has no value other than face, not because there are so many.
Worn dies cause doubling but it’s considered worthless doubling. I don’t like the term worthless because it always has face value.
We seem to regularly call it doubling, but it's not. Hub doubling is the only true doubling. Everything else is akin to md. I guess we should just start calling md and ddd damage, because that's all it is.
