One sided 1985 $20 FRN

    I have a $20 bill that is only printed on one side. The face looks good, but the back is totally blank. I live in Md and had a Treasury official look at it. He said it was the real deal.

    Any ideas?

    Welcome to CT. There is a lot of knowledge here and many willing are to share it.
    Please post a picture or scan of your note. Without pictures, it will be impossible for anyone to tell you much of anything about your note.

    As I said, one side is completely blank. I immediately thought it was counterfeit and notified authorities. They inspected it and said it was the real thing, just a misprint. I took it to a coin dealer a couple of years ago and he gave me a very low ball offer. Not really interested in parting with it, but am curious to find out how rare it really is.

    Wow, what a shame that it's in such bad shape. Great find, though!

    It is in better condition than the picture would suggest. Definitely circulated though.
