Looks either AU-58 or MS-63. It looks like there may be some break in the luster on some of the high spots. Hold the coin in the light and rotate it a little bit to see if it is AU or BU.
AU58 to MS64. How's that? It's very difficult to determine from your photographs as the only one that shows any luster, also shows a bunch of annoying little ticks. The other two photos don't show anything which cath=chs my eye but on the same token, they're relatively lifeless. Send it in and report back.
I need better pictures but I'm leaning towards MS64 based on the things I've learned in the last few weeks.
Thanks guys! I sincerely appreciate all the help. Those pictures are the only ones I currently have. I have the opportunity to purchase this coin for around $70 and am trying to decide. Roughly, I'm looking at it as $70+grading=MS63 and I'll break even. If its 64, I've done pretty well. THEN, a rub here and there =AU-58 and I've lost my shirt. Good assessment?
My honest opinion is buying any raw Ike dollar, unless nicely toned or a type2, for $70 is a huge gamble. But then again, they all look AU to me. Even the ones in 65 holders. If I were to even consider paying that much for a raw common Ike, I would only do so if the pictures were of much better quality (Like MrBrkn mentioned). You cannot possibly try and grade that Ike with those images.
OK my fellow Ike Nuts!! I can't stand it any longer. But this IS a type 2. Does this change any feelings on the $70 price tag?
