Someone locally is selling these notes - these are the only photos they have. They're looking to get 175 for these 4 but I don't know much about them. I know the one has some pretty major tape residue on the obverse and reverse and thats the one I'm most interested in

I think the 1880 is FR 28 with schofield and gilfilan signatures

    Thanks for your help

In my opinion they are easily worth $175 for the set of four. You might be able to find them cheaper on another day, but I think that many sellers would ask more.

Perhaps I should ask a more specific question -

How big of a deal is the tape residue? I've bought plenty of notes from this person in the past and I'm not opposed to the 175 - but since paper money is something that I typically just buy when I come across it - I really don't know.

If they are all real. black eagle is probably worth 100- 150. two on the bottom are probaby 25-35 each. the top one tape is a big deal, but its still worth something

The tape can be a big deal to some collectors and will deffinitly get you an apparent designation when grading but if you still like the note go for it.

From looking at the scans and current ebay trends here is what I see
    1880 about $60
    1899 around 70
    First 1923 about 25
    Second about 20

Whoever is selling them to you is right on the money, its not a deal but fair, personally I would try and get $20 knocked off for the tape but I wouldn't turn it down for 175 if I needed those notes.
