I would like to know if any of these notes the bank teller put aside for me are worth anything and also some information about them would be entertaining....
The red seal $5 and silver certificate are keepers for sure and I would also keep the low serial number just because, like I told you before, its a dollar so its not a big chunk out of bills to keep it.
Any specific reason the seal is red and are any of these worth a premium of more than a dollar or two????
$1 green seal is worth maybe a few bucks (No more than $10 for sure) $1 blue seal is worth $2-$3 $5 red seal is worth $6-$8
green - Federal Reserve notes, has appeareded inseveral different shade red - United States Currency Notes (There is a recent law that requires this term.) blue - silver certificates yellow - WW II emergency silver certificates for North Africa invasion orange or gold - gold certficates brown - National bank notes, Federal reserve bank notes, WW II Hawaiian notes Read more: http://www.cointalk.com/groups/59-d166/#ixzz1v2hbjSZJ
I'd keep all three, but then again, I collect that stuff. If you want to sell the $1 FRN, I'd be interested as I collect $1's with four or more zeroes at the beginning. I'd offer you a star note for it.
