Well I want to send a coin in to get a ring made out of it. I cant seem to pick the coin. I like the Barber series, but I can't seem to get out of my head that there is something better. I know there are alot of countries out there that have nice coins, however I'm not familiar with them. Any suggestions? The coin will most likely be low grade. Check out what I mean.
I have to use a half dollar size coin. I have large fingers. I don't like Franks, or Kennedy. If I had a bust Half with a hold in the middle I would use that design no doubt.
In my opinion, Walkers make the best coin rings. There's a few on eBay right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Rin...80?pt=Metal_Fashion_Rings&hash=item1e6e0740cc
Consider choosing a date that has meaning to you. Your birth year, or a parent or grandparent. This way your ring has a story to tell. -thecointrader
I thought of that, but my favorite Grandparent was born in 21. Go figure a key date for any coin minted. The other I didn't care for was 17. Anyway I think I'm going to hold out for a bust. I'm watching the Bay to see if I can find one all carved up on the face or something.
Geez, that Walker is awesome looking! Good call jloring. I wish I would have done something like that for my wedding ring. Would have been a TON cheaper!
Well I did a quick drive by of this link last night and didnt think to much about it. Now that I revisited the link again I like it. I will special order a 1945 for my fathers birth year. I will also see if I can send one of mine to him I have a few nice 45's. Also my father and I metal detect so I will see if we found a 45 in the past.
