It was on going searching a huge batch of pennies from my grandpa. I did post another thread on my different finds, but this one deserve it's own recognize. I will show you several pictures of this coin and you can decide if it's cool error or not. :)

There are two error on one coin. It's unique BIE with mispunched. Why I called it unique BIE because it looks like "N" instead of "I". Here's pictures of 1957-D coin...

"N" instead of "I" for BIE error...

You can see tip of T, but the rest of T is missing...

You can see "7" on mispunched. "7" seems didn't smeared by mispunched. It's possible that mispunched happen before date has been punched...

Let me know what do you think of this error coin? Thanks.

ssooooo..... do you want the bad news or... the bad news....

That is not an error, it is damage. That happened after it left the mint.

Oh double whammy? :) I did thought PMD, but why "7" didn't show any smeared as you can see it has two press area as 1/4 moon. Also, "T" didn't show any image on pressed area. That's why it bring a questionable legit on this coin.

The seven is smooshed, it's flattened. The "T" has been sheared away by whatever caused the damage.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Before one argues that they have the rarest of rare, one of a kind, million dollar error coin,
they should take the time to learn how coins are minted. 99% of their questions are answered
    in that learning process.

The coin does have die chipping in LIBERTY but everything else is damage.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Question regarding die chipping. Is it normal to show "N" instead of "I"?

'BIE' Lincolns were common in the 1950s.
