Cause the TPG's are forgiving on certain series of coins.....which makes absolutley no sense to me. If it has rim damage then it should affect the grade

I"m with you. All coins should be graded with the same standards. I don't care if it is a chain cent or a modern ASE. A coin is a coin, and grading a coin should be standardized across the board.

Makes you wonder how many coins with edge damage are hidden away in non edge-view holders.

I think that the edge view holder can hide the edge damage under the holders more than the old style. At least the old style gave full of the rims.

That may be true, but I'm not aware of seated halves being one of those series.

And you notice that Heritage makes no mention of the problem either.

They kinda did - Numismedia Wsl. Price for problem free NGC/PCGS coin in XF45

They seem to only use that wording when the coin has a problem but it is slabbed anyway.

I wouldn't want that one in my seated collectio

Are you serious? I mean, no offense. It is your opinion and preference but I think other than that very "small" damage, the coin has eye appeal, patina, and is accurately graded. I would love to own that coin and have it in my collection :)

    To each their own.
