Hi all, I am currently researching some error coins in the wheat cent category. my problem, though, is the NONE of my references mention the value of a 1956D/shadow D in a grade lower than MS-63. Does anyone know of a good reference I can use to find values for errors like this in lower grades? Just to let you know, I already own Strike it rich w/ pocket change, and it only goes back to 1959. Thanks in advance, scouter35
You may want to take a look at: www.coppercoins some values are listed but don't know how current they are. Also don't know if your particular coin is listed.
56-D Shadow you + I have used that term on Cointalk since I joined. copper coins . com price are a bit low on this but here the 56 shadow.:kewl: http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1956&die_id=1956d1mm020&die_state=lds
There are few that are found and sold, and there is usually just a "lincoln cent CULT" type of person willing to look for one carefully or sell one. Low supply , but even lower demand, so they generally are under $15 circulated. The price is more by the strength of the secondary than the over all grade of the coin. Unc. are difficult to find and can be competitive. Here is my entry to the LCC Jim
