  7. I hear you Johnny. I used to have these coin-related impulse control problems as well. Then, I created a spreadsheet listing all the coins and the amount I spent on them over the years. Now, every time I get the impulse to buy, looking at that list (and especially the total amount spent) helps me become more planful and patient in my coin purchases. TC

If you just want any new coin, your pocket is likely cheaper and easier than eBay. ;)

Edit: On second thought, I shouldn't be talking. I've spent stupid amounts of money on eBay this week on coins. I'm on a medieval coin kick at the moment for no good reason.

Don't knock it before you try it. Felt pretty good, and I am one coin closer to the complete set of proof Libertys. Six to go, and another one is listed. I may go for another.

    I want a new coin
One that won't make me sick
One that won't make me crash my car
Or make me feel three feet thick

$340. A little too much, but I'll pay a little premium on an early PCGS slab, the grading standards were just much better then.

  15. Sounds like you have a purpose and landed yourself a great coin. Congrats! TC

I literally just hit the BIN. The color does look promising though.

I hope Johnny's search is going well.

I used to buy up anything that caught my eye. And I used to go to the coin shop twice a week, every week. Now that I slowed down I know what withdrawal means, sometimes I have this urge to buy up tons of coins on ebay. But so far I'm controlling myself.

I seldom buy on eBay. I like to see my coins in hand before I buy. Plus I am very inpatient. I don't like waitiing on shipping.

I'm feeling the withdrawal too. Wifey said no more purchases until I sell what's in the pipeline :(. I buy from auctions and estates, sell what I DON'T want in order to buy what I DO want. I guess I've been keeping too much...or so I'm told

Yea, I've been saving for the FUN show. But I couldn't possibly wait another two months.
