The Lincoln is not much and so far the half has not changed. That nickel is both bluer and brighter than I could capture!

When you take your picture take some tracing paper roll it up and pale around the edges of the plastic case. Set your lights round the paper to give the coin a nice glow and take the photo. Tends to work nicely but it works better if you have a tri-pod. I am still an amature at this so please dont bash too hard Lehigh LOL.

LOL Thanks and wow on your images. I am still working on mine. I just bought the wife a nice camara with the intent of capturing some nice coin pics with it as well lol. Was originally using my iPhone and a weak camara but this new camara is working nicely. Will post pictures soon.

No it is not! I I love it.

I purchased a box of change from someone on cragislist. Yes, my wife thought I was nuts.
There were a handful of sacajaweas in there, and a few of them were toning. Made it all worth while to me!
It is fully lustrous as well. After seeing yours, now I have to re-image it. Thanks a lot br5658.

Oh man, yeah..you had absolutely no choice. I think they ask more for the ridiculous AT'ed ones!
The NT ones are certainly hard to come by. Great score!

    Hello ,
This is my very first contribution to the blog.
Very happy to have found you.
Stumbled upon cointalk by searching Google why ALL my 2008 and only 2008 Silver Eagles have a copper colored toning at the edge.
They are the absolute only ones from my complete collection (except 1995W) that show any toning. Bullion and proof.
I prefer rainbows ! Hence my user name.
Seems I need to reduce the size (from Mb to Kilobytes) of a 1993 2Oz Australian Kookabura silver coin with rainbow toning before I can show it here.
    We'll be back.
So impressed with the quality of the pictures of each and every coin displayed. I still need to learn a lot.
    Cheers

I don't collect toned coins, but when I saw this bad boy in a dealer's showcase and he told me it was $12, I had to have it. I just scanned it and it doesn't really capture the chocolate/purple tone. I think I like it.
