It's an interesting question, some collectors have more than hundreds of thousands of regular priced coins and some just have a lot but really expensive ones. If you have a picture of the coin, please share :smile
This isn't a coin but a token. It's probably the most valuable (highest priced) item I have in my collection. About $200 in this condition.

I just knew Redwin would show up in this thread. Although this time, it was actually warranted. I still say you should have taken the seven million.
I'm not sure as I don't keep track of values because it doesn't interest me. The highest price I've ever paid for a coin was about $1200, and it's neither silver or gold. Guy
Most expensive coin I own is actually two, as they are worth the same. They are 1/10 oz AGE 2010 & 2011. Will have a 2012 added to the mix later this year. Otherwise, I keep all my coin purchases below $50 (besides ASEs, be it proof or sets). I think the most I've paid for a non-PM coin was an 1802 Half Cent and it was $40. Typically I don't even go over the $10 mark unless the coin has a PM in it.
I am guessing its a VF 1795 Flowing hair dollar. One of the few slabs I own, (PCGS). I haven't looked at it in maybe 7 years. Most expensive coin I care about? Maybe my avatar I bought in honor of my mother.
Some have told me that my avatar could be expensive. Here are a couple previous threads that asked a similar question. http://www.cointalk.com/t137389/ http://www.cointalk.com/t134928/
Holy crap, that's amazing! Where did you aquire this coin? It's awesome, thanks for sharing, it's a really cool coin.
most expensive as far as price paid, or price guide value? price guide... price paid... the one above plus (i paid the same for both)...
For me it would have to be my 1864 s seated liberty quarter that i got last Christmas, my Grandfather didn't know what he had here and gave it to me. Sorry for the bad pictures, they are the old ones I had.
