Really hard to tell from the photo, but it appears to be UNC. I would say MS62. nice key-date nickel detecto!
looks AU 55 to me. Not particularly well struck near the center which could be mushy strike or wear. Almost impossible to tell which because I can't see the luster in the pic. I have put together a couple of really nice sets of Jeffs and the 42-D is one of the toughest to find in nice condition. They exist, but it is one of the few modern coins that I would say you can't find just everyday at your average coin show.
Ya, I think its more a weak strike than wear, but I'll go with an AU58. Might be a smidge of wear on there. It is a tough one...the last coin I filled my first jefferson BU/Proof Dansco with. A nicely struck MS will set you back more than you'd think. Nice coin!
Based on those photos, anywhere from AU58 to MS63. The surfaces look pretty clean, but rather lifeless from a luster standpoint.
although not generally considered a key, the 42-D is one of the toughest to find in MS-66 and higher. 66-FS is another animal altogether
I'll stab it at AU-53 Too much wear on the reverse. Not enough detail to call it a 58 much less a 55.
I'm gonna go with AU55 as well. Can't see any luster and there's definite wear unless the pictures are being deceptive.
