i recently found a bunch of old coins at my job .. among those coins was a 1906-s $10 GOLD COIN.. does anyone knowa the real value of the coin?? i took it to a coin shop and the guy offer me $730.. of course i didnt sell it,, just wonderin if anyone knows.. by the way its in excellent shape.. i'll be posting pics soon,, thanks!!!
I don't get why you said "of course I didnt sell it". His offer sounds quite reasonable and 750-800 is what its worth more then likely. Now could it be worth more, or even a lot more if its in amazing shape? Yes. But if its just some coin you found in some pile olf old coins at a job, chances are its not in the kinda shape it needs to be to warrant a higher value. Good pics would tell for certain though.

I think you both jump too quickly to the worst case scenario. At one of my good friends job (which I wont say here because you are curious about this new guys job, but if you care to know you could PM me and I will tell you what it is). Him finding something like some coins, some jewelry, collectables, or other things of worth would be perfectly normal, He would also find alot of junk which is even more normal. But no hes not stealing, and yes its a real job, also no hes not a trash man . Its good that you guys, especially you Chris, are against theivery. Its better then good its fantastic the world would be so much of a nicer place if more people didnt do it. But you are just completely jumping the gun on this fella. Just because he found some coins at a job does not make him a theif.
haha .. no i didnt steal them.. actually they were from an old guy that die.. i do apt turn overs.. . and he did not have any relatives to claim his stuff .. so we kept some stuff and others got donated.. .. and i kept an old desk and inside there its were i found the coins!! i'll post the pic tonite... well have a great day!!!
When you take your pics you will want to use the "macro" setting its what enables you to take very up close detailed pictures. Nearly all modern digi cams have macro settings. It will look like a tulip or flower.
thats the best i could do guys .. so can anyone tell me if its worth more than what they offer me.. or how do i do it to get it graded ..i dont know if thats how u say it... any ways since i found them i think i found a new hobby.. thanks!!
the 730 offer was not bad at all TBH. Its MAX value is 800 But youd probably have a tough time finding someone to pay you 800.
Its not worth getting graded and its basically worth gold content which is about 48.2% of a troy oz of gold.

Yeah its a nice coin. and hey 800 bucks whenever you need it. Just keeping it for now imo is a good idea. Cant wait to see your other coins. You may have a real gem and not even realize it (as if finding a $800 gold coin wasent enough lol)
