I'm stuck on whether to sell this Israel set or keep it. I don't have all these coins, but I'd hate to break up this nice set. I'm not big on mint sets, no room for all of them. I normally sell the ones that come across my desk, but this is a really nice one.

Krause has it listed for around $50 to $60. I think it's either MSA3 or MS3 in the catalogue with a mintage of 20,000
I'm sure I could get more considering the silver 500 pruta sells on eBay for around $50 to $75 alone.

    Whatya guys think?

The 500 pruta is. The others are base metal.

Breaking it up would definitely be a mistake, so you shouldnt do that. There is no reason you shouldnt sell it if you dont like it, as a set it will get some very nice bids, I`m sure.

The only relatively valuable coins here are the silver 500 pruta ($45-$55) and silver 250 pruta with H mark ($25-$35). All other coins are cheap even in BU. I think you`ll sell this set on eBay for more than 500+250 pruta values combined.

Personally, why not sell off the other coins you have in the set and keep the set? I have done that a few times, (well the Chris version, I have some coins that are in the set, so I buy the set and keep all of them). :)

    Keep the set in tact.......

And then sell it to MrBrklyn........:)

Sounds from what you have said that you should sell it. But I'd keep it intact.

Thanks Duke. I so often lack "tact" when I mean 'intact'...........:)

Ok. So after some long contemplation, I've decided to sell this Israeli set. PM if interested.

    Thx,
    Joe

What makes you think the Prutah is silver? I'm looking at mint sets from 1963 and the only silver one is a 16 coin set.
