looks like light wear on high points of cheek and jaw area, light wear on field (reverse) tips of wheat stalks look very good over all minor blemishes au-58 or could be ms-60 but don't have the coin in hand very nice looking coin.
its in excellent condition especially for being one of the key dates, usually dont see too many that look this nice.
I hope this is not unfair but I change my mind on the grade..not because I see people saying differently but because I do (actually) see some wear.So I change it to a AU58.
I'm gonna say AU53 based on the pics. Obverse - there appears to be slight wear on the beard, cheek, lapels, shoulder & collar. A nasty hit on the collar as well. Reverse - slight wear on the tops of the wheat kernels & legends. Luster isn't all that great overall.
Well, this coin is not graded by any TPG, so your guesses are as good as mine... That being said, here are my thoughts on the coin... Relitavely well struck, the coin has a bit of mint luster remaining , however not nearly enough to grade mint state which means to me XF or AU. There are a number of contact marks as would be expected in a coin that has seen circulation. There is also very light wear on the high points of the design. I grade the coin AU 50. THanks for all the comments and guesses. Take care...Mike
