Has anyone with an iPhone tried the app CoinBook Pro? I have been using it for about a week or two and have submitted coins for review and want to know how accurate they are? I had submitted my newest purchase of this 1945D Jeffy Nickel for review with them and this is what they said about the coin "This nickel looks to have a very old cleaning but is re-toning very nicely. It is probably worth about $5 - $10". Whats your thoughts on this? Thanks
Since I hate phones and only use a prepaid basic since there are no more phone booths for emergencies. I will not be a user or reviewer. BTW I put up 2000x2000 size images in listings and have I phone users send me emails about the coins condition so really wonder at the grading of a coin on a 3x5" screen.
IMO I don't really see the cleaning except for the scratches to the right of the mm on the reverse. Properly done there is almost no way to prove a coin was cleaned unless its to bright for such a coin. So, they must be talking about improper cleaning. I don't really see weird colors indicating chemical residue, and like I said only see scratches on the reverse to the right of the mm. Other than that to me at least it looks clean, but I cannot disprove what they said either.
