CAC will now sticker Eisenhower Dollars!

The information was pulled from the http://www.ikegroup.info/ (IKE Group) forums.

This is fairly exciting since it'll be the first time that CAC has ventured deep into modern coin territory for a complete series. Business Strikes only from what I understand!

Look for an announcement in upcoming coin publications.

I love Ike's, and I'm sure this will only help make what in my opinion is an underrated series much more desireable.

    Great!

Ikes made a little move in '85 and then another about '98 and have been stuck ever since.

I'm thinking they're due. Wait till people figure out they are far scarcer than morgans in top grades.

What are CAC stamps. I've seen them before but don't know what they mean?

It's an auxilliary grading service that stickers coins they feel are choice and choice for their grade.

Ikes have had alot of focus on coinweek in the past few months. I dont care for Ikes myself, but I am hoping one day my chosen series (Kennedy halves) will gain some popularity and respect. Here are some Ike links incase you missed them:

Yes, I saw that mentioned and also how premium toned coins are bringing 10X and more than their untoned counterparts in today's Greysheet!

So think about it you will now be able to get a slab with a CAC green bean on it and a DIVA sticker. We are going to have to have bigger slabs to have enough room to place stickers on.

Ikes are beautiful coins and have a lot going for them.

What other coin has: a beloved President on the obverse and the Moon on the reverse with an eagle landing? With the large beautiful features, cunningly crafted and bright silver surfaces, it is comparable to the best of our coinage! And if you have a full strike and nice toning to boot, you have the making of a true sleeper coin that could skyrocket in the next telemarketing campaign from our buddies on cable TV. Get in on the ground floor, folks, this is a winner!

I love the reverse on Ike's.

  21. I think this will be short lived and have no instrest in them.
But it is collecting and there are those that like them so its still a great thing for the ones that want them to collect.
Modern coins do not turn me on as they come with a history i have been a part of and carry little value to me as they are made of a cheap clad metal.
Iam more of a silver annd copper guy.
A metal that has value and has a long path of where our coins were started.
I do understand that because of the loss of value of our dollar it would be impossible to mint coins from these metals as the content would be more than the value of coins worth.
Being a collector and i do get some coins from metal detecting its really dishearting to find pennys of today eaten almost up or other coins like a quater that has lost the surface metal and looks like a big penny.
But maybe by what i just wrote would be a better reason to collect these coins because many will be lost or even ruined unlike the older silver and copper that the earth dosent effect .
