Now I can be labeled as "Officially Confused"! It sounds as if what you are saying is that Accredidation can be "purchased" kinda like the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval"? If so, what good is it?

None. It's nothing more than marketing for companies and businesses who go through the accreditation process to display the BBB Accredited in their advertising. In the long run, it means nothing.
I have dealt with them before and they did come across to me as a "good housekeeping seal of approval". The most important think it seemed to me is how much I would pay. As as for the company it felt like ebay's feedback. They only looked at what complaints that they received. I would think if a company had tons of complaints that it would show thru BBB but only if it was a big business IMO.
You can for complaints on small businesses as well, even locally to you. A large chunk of complaints the BBB receives is about licensed contractors, i.e. plumbers, electricians, etc.
How many of these threads can be brought up. I've read them about the following and I'm sure I've forgotten many: Great Southern Littleton Brick and Mortars Pawn Shops Jewelry Store Hotel buyers and now Grocery Store too... Really think about it...it's the same in any business. There are strong buyers and weak ones. Some people shop at Tiffany's and some at Wal-Mart. You don't go ripping on Tiffany's for charging so much? Just don't go there. Even in this thread there is a person saying that they were treated more the fairly there. Just try buying a car from any car lot and tell me it's much different. This kind of complaint will not go away until we get rid of all commerce all together.
OK, I sent you a PM. Care to answer it ? And by the way, who exactly is this "we" that would like to speak to us ?
The issue we're finding with THR specifically, is that they are LYING to customers providing false and misleading information… and THAT is illegal. We brought in 13 18k pieces, and were told all were either 14kor 10k! They were stamped 750 or 18K! This is more than a rip off... that is legal... they way THR is operating (under 16 names, 250 shows a week) is illegal.
It's also illegal to establish a business without a business license and then to not pay taxes on the items you buy. This is why our community has banned such hotel buyers. Maybe if they were more, or even a little, legit, they wouldn't have such a bad reputation. Guy
PS Sorry about the spam, I asked an intern to set up an account for me while I was working on something else, and apparently she didn't read the rule! Yikes!
There was a story done some time ago where a seller brought slabbed graded coins to one of those shows in a sting. It seems that the buyers are trained pretty stringently not to say they are appraising the items, just to say what they would pay for them.
