I have inherited a large set of coins from my grandfather and have been trying to catalog everything. One bag contained a few quarters that appear to have a fill error, but being new to collecting I wasn't sure. Below are pictures of the front and back of the coin. As you can see the date is entirely filled. Are these legitimate errors, and if so does anyone have an idea what they might be worth? Thanks!

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

The obverse has a cud. A piece of the die has broken off, so cannot strike that area. It has a corresponding weak spot on the reverse, where there was not enough pressure to strike up.
On the reverse, you also have what appears to be a cracked die (united).
Nice find, Larch! And welcome to CT.

Yes, that is a nice obverse cud and what appears to be a reverse retained cud. Nice find.
