My great grandmother left me some coins after she passed I'd like to see if they're worth anything.. I'll give the description now and I'll get some pics posted soon.. 1. 1908 1-franc coin 2. 1919 1-franc coin 3. 1919 50 centimes (about the size of a U.S. dime) 4. 1855 looks like it says napoleon III empereur On one side it's got the side profile of a man with a long goatee. the other side it looks like the tails side of a quarter with an eagle or some kind of bird on it. 5. 1866 something. one side it says leopold II roi des belges other side says "union fait la force" and a 1 f 6. 1918 5 deutsches reich pfenning. No idea. lol
It will all depend on the condition of the coin.... in general, forieng coins have to be in better condition than their american counterparts in order to generate an equal return. I am very interested in seeing the photographs though
Welcome! Even if they turn out to not be worth much, your grandmother must have thought highly of them. Whatever the current value might be, they should be considered an heirloom "treasure" that she left you.
