All right, if you could have any coin in the entire world, which one would it be? For me i'd have to say a High Relief Saint.
These kinda questions gives me a laugh because they eventually keep returning but one of the ones would be a high relief Peace Dollar.
Should I aim low and say 1804 dollar, or aim high and say 1933 double eagle? Well, you did say "dream coin" More in the area of reality, I think I would put too many choices out. I keep finding coins I really like! I imagine a St. Gaudens double eagle would still top the list. But I saw an Oregon Trail commemorative in BU today at the local coin shop, and that looked mighty fine as well. How about a Carson City silver dollar... ...see what I mean? :rolling: Help! Somebody stop me! :hammer:
I'm dreaming I don't want much-just thiis dollar from the Legend collection http://www.collectors-society.com/r...ail.asp?PeopleCoinID=114334&PeopleSetID=12241
What ones are you hunting---I have some extras and I might have some of them....I know I don't have an extra S VDB Speedy
As for a dream coin....I really don't have one....I try to set goles in my collection that I can hit sometime and one of them is a NICE 1950 NGC PF66 Franklin..... Speedy
Not just one coin but I do dream of having a complete Whitman Classic Album of Mercury Dimes in MS63 to MS65. I now have 8 complete sets and set number 1 is slowly heading in that direction.
I'd be happy to pay for a 1954S San Jose Lincoln or Camp Blackhorse 11th Armored Cavalry token if I could find either one. Or (as long as we're dreaming and have unlimeted funds in this dream) one of the old dealer to dealer teletypes machines from the 60's would be nice too
I would have to say a $4 Stella, just becuase as a gold coin collector, that is the only denomination that will be an impossibility for me.
Not really a coin, more of a tribute medallion collection. It is a set of 5 four ounce silver rounds, 1 each for the branches of the Military and then one for the DOD as a whole. the set I saw ( not for sale) was beautifully struck.
Have to agree with the SLQ. How in the heck can a coin be so beautiful yet so ugly. Look at a BU and a Cull. Although a 1913 V nickel would fill a hole in my not so completed ( missing it ) V nickel collection!
