Large Cent Damaged coin

    I wonder if this damage is actually chop marks ?

    Nope, doesn't look like it was circulated in the asian market.

    Yeah no need to chop a cent as half cents were circulating still. Even in the wild west a shot of saloon "well" (not premium) whiskey would have been about 2 of these. MMM....two cents plain great now I'm thirsty.

    Oh no, this was the dreaded cotton weavil. Times were hard during the civil war, you know, that whole Sherman's march to Atlanta and the sea kind a thing, Burt all the souths cotton fields he did and that left the poor weavils very little to eat. That's my story and I am sticken to it! :D

    Or else some kid found his dad's new power drill at Xmas.... :devil:
