I spent three years looking but it felt like much longer. I wanted an MS62 or better, eye-appealing, and close to price guide. I just couldn't put all three conditions together.

Finally Andy Skrabalak (Angel Dee's) came through. This arrived today, PCGS MS63. I think I'll keep it.

Five more holes and the set is done. Probably take another three years. LOL.
    Lance.

    Awesome coin, congrats!!

I purchased my avatar coin from Andy and it's one of my favorite coins I've ever owned. He knows his coins without any doubt!

Beautiful 77 IHC Lance. I really like the woodie effect on the obverse. Well done.

Andy is definitely one of the best.
I get ALL of my IHC's from him.
I got my -63 BN 1877 from him.
In fact in about an hour I'm headed down to a local show to get another IHC from him.

You're ahead of me in terms of completion.
    I'm 70-75% complete.
Counting today's coin I still need 16 (I include FE's minus the 1856 in that count).

If I remember I'll say "Hi" to him for you.

The 77 is super nice Lance. That, IMO, is the best grade for the money for that particular date, its just that how in the world do you get a "close to price guide anything" from Andy. His prices are eye popping to the max. I suppose he pays more than others to get those nice ones and marks them up as much as he has to to stay alive. I'm just a guilty of splurging on purchases from him on more than one coin I just had to have. Nice pick up.

Great choice. Waiting for the right coin really paid off.
I'm guilty of jumping on an average coin and wanting to upgrade it later.

Thanks for the nice words, guys. Makes ownership even better!

Yes, Andy is not the low price leader. But neither are his coins. Although we are pretty chummy and I've bought dozens of small cents from him over the years, there have been several coins I hoped to trade-in on upgrades where Andy nicely said "sorry, that doesn't fit what I sell." The man has his standards.
    Lance.
