Hey again! Was looking through a stack of pennies and found this 1971 s penny. Im no expert but it looks like its definitely off center, with the rim being wide on one side and super slim on the other. Is this a machine error coin? What do you guys think, any value here?

Yes, it is offset. But not enough to command any premium. I think you need a minimum of 5% before it starts having any extra value. IMHO

What does the reverse look like? Is the reverse off center like the obverse or is it properly centered?

In that case it is a MAD (misadjusted die). Very little if any premium.

If both sides were off center the coin would be a true off center coin and worth a premium.

How much is considered to be little premium (maximum)? Thank you so much! Thought i got lucky here haha

Probably no premium (MADs are not uncommon). You might be able to find someone willing to pay you something for it but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Maybe 50 cents or a buck but you might get lucky and find someone (who is not very informed) who would pay you more.

I doubt you'd get more than the melt value (2.5 cents or so). These are very common on cents from that time period.

That's from someone who knows what they are doing. There is no telling what a neophyte will pay.

I have a offset 1971 penny, no mint mark, offset on both sides.
    Worth anything ?
    Thanks
