No silver yet this week but I did find my very first Indian Head Cent in a Loomis box yesterday. A well worn 1905. Last roll in the box too!

Box of halves: 3 40%ers. My mini skunk streak of 4 boxes is over!

But one of my dump banks is getting a little annoyed at me. One teller flat out refused to cash out a box yesterday. I don't know yet if it's just him or the branch, as he's the only one that's given me problems there.

$300 in BWR, 2010p, we are now down to 1 coin to have a complete set from 1964-2011. $500 CWR which I knew was dump, skunk. They forgot to order my two boxes so I will get three on Friday. The head teller sold me a 1963, and 1928 G series 2 dollar bills. Neat notes and I got to show my children a demand note.

Yesterday I picked up some rolls. 3 rolls of halves... nothing. 10 rolls of nickels... 3 pre 60. 10 rolls of pennies is where it get a little interesting. Older looking rolls with writing on them. I got a full roll of the following: 57D circ, 56D circ, 44S circ, 69 D uncirc, 70S uncirc, and a roll of Canadian 40's and 50's. I will keep the wheats and Canadian. I will check the 70S for small date. Anything else to look for? I don't look a pennies that often, cool to get 3 full rolls of wheats. Oh, I did ask if the person had dropped off any other "older" rolls. She said no.

Always a Lady and I are having an incredible month. After I dropped off a skunk box of halves I picked up a box where we had great luck last week. I got the box without expectations since the last two had produced 16 and 11 silvers. I thought can the streak continue? When I got home we started opening and I noticed before we even took a roll out that one ender looked whiter. I pulled it and gave it to Always a Lady and said I think there might be silver in this one but was not sure since the reverse was showing. Sure enough it was a 68 plus another one in the roll. I opened 6 or 7 before I found one.

We have a couple of buddies that visit from time to time and encourage us as well as my two sons. Qicksilver and Makescents were watching as Always a Lady found four in one roll and my two sons wanted to get in on the action. Matt opened one and I could see a bright line in his roll. I said I think you have one. He said I know but I think I have more than one. His roll had two and then Nick had two in his.

I wondered if coin roll hunting was worthwhile especially early in the month when we had only found 2 in 9 boxes. 3 of the last four have produced 23 90's and 27 40's and not only that but 4 Bens and 6 Walkers. I have seen where several are fighting it right now so I know this may not last but I sure enjoying the rush while it lasts. We are picking up at the skunk bank today and back at the honey hole on Friday.

I just want to wish everyone good luck and encourage others as they have done for me. HOTN and Ace this too will pass but I am pulling for you.

    I forgot to mention the totals 1 1917 Walker, I 1951 Ben, 4 64 Kens and 17 40's for 23 (our best box by 6)

Nice box UNC. Y'all got me jonesing for Friday. Wish I wasn't so broke right now, freakin' car.

By the way, if anybody was wondering, we ended up having to put the other cat to sleep, too. $5k in vet bills and no cats to show for it... really sucks. :( I think I'm in shock about how fast it all happened.

Got a box of halves with 2 40% both enders. Plus box was $2.50 over. My last box produced 5 silvers and was $1.00 over. So my finds between both boxes were free..:thumb:. Was wondering if others find there boxes over or under often?

Sorry to hear about the cats. 5K in vet bills...geez, I guess it adds up quick. Hope you don't have to sell any silver since it's been so difficult to come by lately.

Is there a "sorry to hear" button?

    That is a bummer.

I'm changing things up a bit and no longer will be purchasing boxes supplied by a certain carrier. I know I may have said this before but I'm sticking to it this time. I keep a spread sheet of all the coin I purchase and where it comes from. I sorted the sheet by bank/supplier and noticed a frightening trend. I always knew, but when compared to the other sources, it's a waste of time, gas, money, and resources. By purchasing coin from this bank all I'm doing is losing. I'll not be able to search as much but I'll end up with better results and more gas in more than one way.

So sorry to hear that, Merc. I hope you and your girlfriend can find a nice, new cat to love. Not that you can get over this cat so quick or anything...I am sorry that may have come out wrong.

We might have to put our dog to sleep if he continues down his path. He is hardly eating AT ALL, even if we mix hamburger into his food. He will randomly go totally crazy and start pacing and panting and climbing over EVERYTHING like there is an earthquake and a fire going on at the SAME TIME. When he does this, nothing can get him calm. Nothing. He didn't sleep for 2 days, we had to take shifts watching him. The vet gave us some pretty high power sedatives. The dog fights them with all his power. He can't walk in a straight line, and stumbles over himself but he will NOT lay down and go to bed. So far, we have only had to give him 2, but that has been since Monday. He had bloodwork done, and everything is normal. At this point, it has to be mental. Could be doggie alzhiemers or a brain tumor. Who knows. But, if this continues, it would be torture for him to let him live this lifestyle of no sleep and hardly eating. Such a bummer.

One of my halves pickup banks cut me off without an account 2 weeks ago, and I've been too lazy to open an account there... so somehow I didn't order any boxes of halves this week. Sometimes this bank orders halves to keep around because apparently a lot of people ask for them there, so maybe I'll go in this weekend and open an account and find a few loose rolls.

Maybe I'll pick up an extra box of quarters or something, although it's definitely not the same.

Too much clad! I think I have clad poisioning. It's a serious illness. Please call me a doctor.

6 more boxes of halves. 6 more skunks. That makes 10 in a row!!! 14 boxes so far this month and 2 64's and a 40%er.

Have 2 boxes to go through and 4 more to pick up yet this week. I have huge volume going now, like 6 boxes a week. I'm going to have to drop off some though with all the summer work to get done. The bump in volume hasn't exactly helped me anyway! worst month ever!!

I have to keep looking at my stack of shiny and remind myself that it really is out there. It wasn't a dream. I can find free silver, I can!!!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. This is the first time either of us has been without pets (We have a fish, Darwin, but he doesn't really count... he's a fish!) in quite a while. I had a dog, then a cat, then 2 dogs... so it's probably been 17-18 years for me, and for her, about the same. Feels weird not having an animal around. We're probably gonna wait to get the results back so we can see what happened (I think something like 25 vets took a look at the case and couldn't figure anything out) and then decide what to do from there... if its not something that can live around the apartment for a while, we'll probably get 2 kittens sometime in the next month or so. If it is, we'll figure it out later.

    Anyway, back on-topic, 1 box of halves, 1 40%er.

Finally found a 1999 Wide AM cent!

Unfortunately it has a few scratches and some corrosion, but it still has plenty of luster and nice detail. Definitely could be worse! I had separated all of the 1999's from the last couple of $25 boxes that I have searched (probably 150-200 pennies). I found this with the very last penny in the stack, go figure :thumb:
