Hey all, Since I keep coming across these and laughing, I thought it might be a good idea to compile them all into one thread so we can all have some good laughs! Here's one from Craigslist. http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/clt/2970116257.html
Here is one for you. They have 3 available. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Historic-Wo...09346?pt=US_NCAA_Fan_Shop&hash=item35b486f202
LOL!! A nautical/pirate theme with 19th & 20th century US coinage, 1 Sold. Hahahahaha! Thanks for the laugh. That's great.
Historical. Gee, I wonder how he got 3 of them. Do you see the large cent and the wheats, and the steels. What a joke
I love that they took stock pictures from PCGS or something similar and spent the time to lay them over the other "coins". They have a picture of a large cent but no mention in the description that you could even receive it. Make sure you work out the dimensions of that box... I don't even know if it would fit a box of cards!
I feel bad for the person who was duped into buying it. Hmmm....50 coins...would probably work out like this: 40 "pure copper" wheat cents. Actually they are 95% copper. 5 steel wheat cents. 3 buffalo nickels. 2 Mercury dimes. A $20 value...yours for just one easy payment of $118.01 I am actually going to report this auction, and I suggest others do as well. He is showing Indian head cents, and a large cent in the mix. While that is not against policy, he is using a stock photo from another website without permission, you are not allowed to do that. GovMint.com sent me an envelope in the mail with a big, $100 note, silver art bar pic on the outside of the envelope. (Thanks for the advertising guys! Have never purchased from them before but they send me junk mail.) I opened it to see what they were asking for them. By the huge pics I assumed it was the 4 oz bars. Nope. Turns out they're selling these in 1 oz. bars for ONLY $99 a piece.
It's not a coin, but it is WAY overpriced! I got the e-mail the other day and laughed. $1 Hawaii Silver Certificate https://www.theworldreserve.com/us-currency/small-size-notes/product.php?id=845&sq=1 $5 Hawaii Federal Reserve note(They say Silver Certificate) https://www.theworldreserve.com/us-currency/small-size-notes/product.php?id=846&sq=1 $20 Hawaii Federal Reserve note(They say Silver Certificate) https://www.theworldreserve.com/us-currency/small-size-notes/product.php?id=847&sq=1
