So I am working on a collection of British Coins and was wondering if someone might be able to help.

I am trying to make a list of years the coins I am collecting were not struck

here is what I have so far.. please feel free to add

only collecting from 1860 forward (for now)

Half Penny- 1961, 1970(might have been in proof sets ?) 1972 (last one struck was 1983)
    Penny 1972 (proof sets only) 1960, 59, 58, 57, 56, 55, 54, 52, 43, 42, 41, 25, 24, 23 (last struck in 1967 for pre-decimal) no 68, 69, 70
    six pence 1921-1946 (50 % silver) 1947-67 Nickel - all years made
one shilling (same as six pence)

Since I have no interest in modern coinage (anything after 1839, at least), I can't give you any dates.

This link is pretty complete, however:

If you ever want to talk about something a little older, let me know :p

Just head for your nearest public library and ask to see the Krause World Catalog of Coins in the reference section.

    3d (silver, to 1944) 1923, 1924, 1929

    3d (brass, from 1937) 1947

    2/- 1861, 1882, 1927 (new style), 1934, 1952

    2/6 1860 - 1873, 1927 (new style), 1952 (*)

    5p (from 1968) 1972, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1981 - 1986 ($), 1993 ($)

    NOTES:

    @ ... only 7 minted

    * ... only 1 minted

$ ... for all 1982-onwards coins: not issued for circulation, but are available in the Unc sets

new style ... in 1927, the silver denoms were revised; examples of all the 'old' type dated 1927 were minted for circ, but all denoms except the shilling did not have any new 1927 designs issued for circulation

    Hope that helps!

That was there on the list, but I didn't indicate a footnote! If I recall, it's 2 proofs for that date - 1 for sure ...
