I I'm searching eBay for a lower grade affordable capped bust half dollar. And I came across this 1809 so when I looked it up it says there is 3 style's of edge's and each one is a different value so I was wondering if by identifying the Overton I could identify the edge? Any help appreciated! Screenshot_20230101-135312.png Screenshot_20230101-135248.png

Looks like O-109 ||| edge - „a“ die state. Not really valuable in G4, but one of the varieties you‘re looking for.

okbustchaser I may be old but I still appreciate a pretty bust Supporter

It's an O-109 which almost always makes it the III edge. (In 50 years of specializing in bust halves I've never seen one that wasn't.)

Thank you guys! it's one I have my eye one but at a lower price. May I ask how you guys identified it so next time I come across one I can be able to identify it.

Get the Overton Book. It’ll pay off in spades. But this one is easy because of the die breaks in the reverse lettering of AMERICA.
