Went through a box of nickels for the first time in a while, the 3rd roll had a 2009-D and a '45-S War Nickel, the rest of the box had nothing. I also got a dime box, it was a skunk. I don't think I'll search them again because there isn't enough to find besides silver and they are too small anyways. When I was dumping them, I found a steel cent in the reject slot.

2 boxes of halves this week.

First had no silver but I did find my first circulation proof half, a 2001 in pretty good shape considering it was circulated.

    Second box had 2 40%ers.

HAHA! I remember my first 5 months I jonesed every day to get coin and find silver. It kind of calmed down after about 6 months when Football Season started. I pretty much gave up searching Sundays ever since and I don't regret it. Balance is key in life.

    Good Luck in your finds!

One thing I think I might start doing is ordering 2 boxes of Pennies every week. These I think I'll just have sitting around the house to open when I feel like it. That way if I start Jonesing, I'll have something to look for. Well yeah no chance at Silver obviously, but I do like finding Wheaties.

Plus since $25 is much money and doesn't cut into my CRH founds I'll be in no hurry to cash them in. Think I'll grab a 5 gallon bucket from work this week and use this for my Penny dumps. Periodically I'll take big scoops out of them and cash them in, but otherwise it will just sit.

Well that's the plan anyway for awhile.

    ACE:

Congrats on breaking your terrible slump.

    My weekend was as follows:
    1 box of halves: skunk
    10 BWR halves: skunk

Didn't do much searching (obviously), I'm not having much luck lately. I picked up a $1000 bag of dimes today, we'll see how that goes. It usually produces 4-5 Roosies.

I wasn't asking you that question, I was giving you a link to an article discussing that based on your question:

Any imput is appreciated.

hey Lon, for odds and ends or my own "take" on collections, I use Mylar flips and Mylar flip holder pages. 8.5" x 11" page holds 20 flips, 4 across, 5 down. they slide out easily if you want a closer look and easy to sort into what ever arrangement you want. I also use a second sheet holder, full 8.5x11 page, and fill out info about the coins on my computer then print and put the info page behind the coin page. All this fits nicely into a 3 ring binder. Make sure you get one that isn't vinyl since vinyl off-gasses tarnish coins.
