my grandmother has let me with numerous older sets of framed coins.. im lookin for values so that i can sell them..one is the bicentenial 2dollar bill first day of issue ..the second is coins of the colonies which consists of 11 coins.with jon trumbulls declaration picture..third is silver story 1dollar siler certificate with coins framed... fourth is coins from 1900 to 1971 called coins of the 20th century.. fifth is wartime coinage 1942-1945 nickels silver and copper...last is called lincolns memorial coinage .... all r framed n in great shape just dont have room to hang up and feel bad leaving in closet thanks chris
Most of these sets are made up of low grade coins that have been polished to "look like new". They were quite popular in the 1970's and '80's, sold mainly through ads in magazines and newspapers. They probably sell for less today than they did back then, which is basically melt value.
