Hi everybody. I found this in a roll today and I am baffled as to what the D is over. Can anyone help me out?

Considering the many corrosion bubbles evident, it looks like one came up beneath the mint mark.

the copper plated cents after 1982 was one of our mints biggest goof ups ever IMO. when the copper plating gets these tiny defects in it this lets the zinc start to corrode and before long the entire coin is nothing but a pile of corrosion. I find them in bank rolls all the time that are so far gone I have to put them out with the trash.
