Ok so heres the first two out of about 20 that i have been giving a bath to. Incase you are wondering I took a pic with my finger in the reflection to show how mirror like the coin is. 1880-S 1889-S
As a rule, deep mirrors don't show up too well in photos. Instead they tend to look like a deep, dark pool of water. The next time tou want to try to show the reflectivity of a coin, try this................
what are you talking about those are two different coins, different years even of course the 1880 is better its PL or DMPL and higher grade and the day you can get a 1889-s in AU for silver value only is the day ill make you rich by happily paying you twice that.
yeah Chris that would work better then my finger lol I went to go do that trick right now but soon realized it wont work right because i already have put them in new 2x2 I am starting to be glad i ordered 50 of those removable 2x2 double flips yesterday.
Seriously? You should check completed BINs on eBay for certified AU 1889S Morgans. They're selling between $100 and $135.
Was wondering what the main problem was that prompted you to clean them? Looking at the before pictures the coins don't look too bad.
... there are no before pictures. Where do you guys keep seeing before and after pics. There are only after pics. There is a obverse and a reverse for a 1890-s and a obverse and a reverse for a 1889-s. They are all after pictures. I cleaned them with acetone to get rid of a slight pvc contamination and to reduce grime. The same gos for the pics I am about to post of some other good Morgans I recently got. It is ONLY AFTER PICTURES. There are NO BEFORE PICTURES. Only that 1880-s would be dmpl most likely. All the others are normal finish or a few PL possibly. I got about 8 coming out of a nice long bath now for your fellas enjoyment.
If you have a staple puller, just pull the staples out of the 2x2, take the pics, and re-staple them.
