Colors progress as yellow blue then red

On silver coins that is most common , but nickles tend to tone towards the grey blues and golds . That said your coins toning just doesn't look right , though it could be the pictures . JMHO

It has a blue band that runs directly around it and the reverse and obverse are also golden.

A lot of my Jeffersons in the Dansco album have very similar toning. The nickels in the 1993 Jefferson coin and currency set (that stayed in the mint packaging) also tend to tone similar to yours. Some of those colors (the dark orange and purple) are easy to AT with heat, but the rim is usually effected. I'd call it natural.

Some of my modern Jefferson proofs have this same color of toning. I took them directly from proof sets and placed them in 2x2s, and then a binder page.

The toning was already present when I opened the lenses.

With the new pics . NT . A beautiful coin . What I meant in my first post was the colors looked right but looked dull and flat , that's why I said it might be the pics . Glad you took your own pics , I had a couple old proofs that look just like it .

Yup, I have nickels in Proof sets that are starting similar toning. I'd have to vote natural as well.

Nice smokey color too, I might add. My Western Journey proofs look great with it.

A lot of my clad Washington proofs have the same color as well, as do the Kennedy proofs.
