Oh yer xD, srry it's a 1774 Georgivs III, has the head of Georgivs on one side and Bitania sitting on a rock? with a spear and shield. I'ts nearly impossible to see any more apart of the word around it.

1964 proof set (gift from my grand father). Here is a heart breaker: when my grand father died my aunt took his whole coin collection to a dealer (she was drunk at the time) and turned it over for 10 grand (it was worth much more). That was in the early 70's and the whole family resents her to this day.

    Cameo Proof Morgan

I used to buy supplies at a little coin shop locally. Most of his inventory consisted of collector coins in 2x2's with a few low grade slabs (walkers and morgans). One day I walked in and he'd basically cleared out the top level of his middle cabinet to display----one coin! At the time, I was putting together a proof US type set and there sat a stunning proof cameo Morgan dollar! He claimed he was selling it for a customer at what I figured was about 2 x bluesheet! I picked up a few things and went home but couldn't stop thinking about that dollar. I went back for it the next day and have never regretted "overpaying" !

My favorite's are the mint errors. My favorite is the 1984 double die (ear) lincoln cent in MS66. Working on finding a 72 double die now...

Either the 2006W Silver Eagle that I ordered for my grand nephew (born this year) and havnt given him yet, or a collection of Phillipine coins, Germany marks and Iraqi Dinar...symbols of my brother's sub service, sister's airforce service and my army service.

My favorite coin would be my first PCGS graded coin. Its nothing special, just a 1979-S Kennedy Half thats graded PR-69. Sure its nothing really rare but Im thinking of starting to collect PR-60+ JFK's From 1964 to today, I might even go back to Franklin halves after I get all of my Kennedys!

    Collectors ?

I look at Dougs favorite coin and realize that some of us are accumulators, and there are not that many real collectors. It seems to follow the same pattern in what ever endevour you persue as pleasure time activities.
It is not bad, it just is.

    Be well

My favorite would have to be a Bust dollar given to me about twelve years ago with quite the story behind it.(details are somewhere on this forum & I will have to post a pic some time.)

Second favorite would have to be two 1921 year sets that my grandmother gave me when I was a kid.(cent through half) Some of the coins appear to be cleaned F _ XF.It was the birth year of my grandmother and father (who died on a shipping vessal in the Merchant Marines)

Third favorites would have to be a Fugio cent that is barely recoginizable & an old spanish silver pillar dollar I found while detecting.
