Anyone an expert on Lundy coins? I see them occassionally at shows and sometimes on ebay but they not very often. I have a couple from 1929 and some of the later issues, but was wondering if there were proofs in both releases and if so, were they in sets, issued individually, etc.. Any info regarding lundy coins is certainly appreciated.

here's some info from my Krause:
There were two proof sets made
    the first set included:
    a 1965 bronze 1/2 Puffin
    a 1965 nickel-brass 1/2 puffin
    and a 1965 nickel-brass 1 puffin

this set had a mintage of 3000

    the second set included:
    2 1965 gold 1/2 puffin coins
    and 2 1965 gold 1 puffin coins

25 of these sets were issued.

oh yeah... there's no proofs of the 1929 series. the 1/2 and 1 puffin each had a mintage of 50 000.

there is also a 1965 1 puffin nickel-bronze proof with a mintage of 3000, but i'm not sure how this coin was available. It must have been sold as an individual coin in some kind of holder.
