1969s DDO?

    Hello Friends:),found a nice 1969s,would like to hear thoughts on this,if its a DDO?

    1.Hole in the Chin.
    2.Doubling on the EyeBrows.
    3.1969 seems a little odd then normal.

    I'm going to say it's machine doubling. Trust me, you'll know it's a 69-s DDO, it's about as unmistakable as a 55 DDO.

    Machine doubling.
    Flat shelving raised a bit. No split Serifs.

    Excellent drawing. I have been trying to explain for 20 years to people that true die double results in THICKER THAN NORMAL lettering, and maching doubling makes it THINNER than normal. The "cherry picker" books complicate that by saying to look for DOUBLED SERIFS on the letters, even though, except for the Jefferson nickel and golden dollars, there are NO SERIFS on the font styles used on US coins in about a century.
