Yea they make me that way too lol
But he does share (for a price) some of his better ones from time to time :D
And I highly recommend them. It's not like you don't get a good picture of them first lol

Hey I got a kinda noob question about Morgan PLs and DMPLs.

Is a coin that has wear (say down to AU50 or XF45) but has a definite DCAM or DMPL effect going on with mirror like fields but more frost like face and eagle, still considered a PL or DMPL? Or is it just oh thats a nice AU50 morgan, sucks for you its not MS lol?

Also is the value the same as any old AU50 or would it have extra value just like MS DMPLs do?

I don't know that I have seen any AUDMPL's but I would think there are a few.
DMPL is for Mint coins and is all about their surfaces.
DCAM is for Proof coins and the same.
But it would be fun to see a Impared Proof in Cam :D

Let's wait to see if anyone has seen some graded that way but I think there will be.

How many 1890-O's does one man need? I think the new one is about as nice a MS62 as you're going to see. Also like the new 1887. Keep taking pictures so you can finish this thing.

I can show you a few, but im thinking of one in particular which is having a bath as we speak :D.

its no better then AU might even be XF, but the fields on both sides seriously look like my bathroom mirror. They are that reflective. I am soaking it atm to get rid of a few tiny brown dot things, if it works i might start shaving using this coin as my guide.

I can post it later if you guys want, but im not trying to hijack this mans thread, i just had a honest question i dont know an answer for about PL and DMPL lol.

That looks like a beautiful set and I know how imposable it it to find some of those dates in a high DMPL.

ANACS and NGC will designate AU DMPL's much more often than PCGS. PCGS does not have a hard line answer on the subject but in talking to staff they don't seem to like to do the AU DMPL's. The lowest I have seen in NGC/ANACS was a 55. If you coin in borderline AU then to much of the mirror is likely gone to get the designation.

I have a screaming 79-O at home raw that has great mirrors for the year, but AU 55 and not worth doing anything with it.

Another update as it has been a while, added and removed a good number of coins. Added this time were about 8 doily coins, including a 1900-O, total pop about 50 and this is 1 of 2 CAC coins. Also a 1902-O, total pop about 60, 1 of 2 CAC coins. The 1892 is now a pop 1 of 2 CAC coins. A 1921 in 63PL was added and also 2 more CAC 1921 PL's, so there are 4 of the 13 CAC coins. There are other fun coins also, just cant remember them all.

    Here are a few:
