Hi. I am new to...well, paying attention to coins, so forgive me if this is a silly question. I was looking through some Lincoln Pennies tonight, and I spotted a difference between two 1989 pennies. On one the edge of the rim touches the top of "IN GOD WE TRUST" and on the other one it doesn't. I compared these to a third penny of the same year, and that rim did not touch any of the lettering. I'm wondering if the penny with the rim touching the letters is an error. I have attached a picture of both coins for comparison.

Likewise, welcome to cointalk! The coin on the left appears to be a slight die alignment error, very common and no premium on value. The coin on the right looks like a die alignment error as well, but in a different direction. See how the rim almost disappears on the left side of the coin (the bottom in your picture)?, no premium.
