First find in some time, maybe months, but worth waiting for, and unusual... a 1943 steelie, dark, but not corroded. It is the fourth steelie I have come across in public in the past couple of months.
Coinstar in owned by Littleton coin company Coinstar in owned by Littleton coin company. I did not know that. What I do know is - I use it for as much as 2000 to 5000 Lincoln's each week that I've searched thru. (my bank waves the fee if you have an account). It is incredibly accurate and generally works quite well. The idea was brilliant and they have made a fortune. Last but not least, it is almost solely responsible for the glut of circulated coin clogging the market and keeping us from getting new present year coinage as we once did. Thanks CoinStar, (I think),,,
littleton coin company About 2 year ago I read it in there holding review, they own all them big green things.
Oi! I am having a hard time finding the big thread for this. I am using my phone. Last two times, I found two silver Rosies, some copper/wheaties, a Canadian dime, '53 Shilling and clad change. Lucky machine? Maybe. Lol
What is this about Coinstar being owned by Littleton? Coinstart is a public company, has been for years. I have looked for any connection to Littleton and can't find one.
Maybe it's a joke maybe it isn't I don't know. But even if it is a public company that doesn't mean Littleton couldn't be the majority stockholder.
FYI: Coinstar is an independent company. http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/companyProfile?symbol=CSTR.O
