thats a good one haha. i would buy once and for all but like i said i thought i was gonna make millions on this coin, and that fell through.. guess im gonna be drivin rentals for the rest of my life....
This is the problem with error coins. When people find something out of the ordinary with a coin and they know nothing about coins, they immediately think they've hit the jackpot with a million dollar coin. Ughhh!
Hey Dude, wish you did have that million dollar error. Maybe you'll find it tomorrow, keep looking. Welcome to CoinTalk, lurk for awhile and see if you like it.
Why not list it on eBay with all the other non-error coins? There's thousands of them that sell for a premium everyday.
You just answered your own question. They did it to get you, someone not knowledgeable about coins and coin errors, excited. And it worked. Sorry, but these are a regular thing that pop up often. It's done by squeezing the coin in a vice, to flatten it out larger than it is, and by placing two coins together for the vice squeeze, you can actually cause the designs to transfer from one another. However, the vice job is very easy to detect.
Most of us are already married with kids and whatnot. We use the "collect coins" excuse to get away from changing the occasional dirty diaper.
Just because a guy collects coins doesn't mean he can't get women. My girlfriend was at one time asked to be a bunny at a Playboy club. So there!
